BIOGRAPHY
Amber has been performing her signature performance in a One Woman Show as Sally Rand; bringing to life all the wit and charm of the American icon for over 10 years. She has performed from coast to coast and for four generations of Sally’s family. Her portrayal includes the beautiful and ethereal Fandance. Amber has been dubbed “The Master of the Historic Double-Take”! Her most unusual performance....Amber was a “Mermaid in a Fishbowl” an illusion by Kansas City Magician Steve Payton. She also traveled one Summer with a Professor Stu’s World of Magic as a featured dancer and the Professor “burned her alive” as Darth Vader in an over the top illusion!
She has a dance and theater background of 20 years, dancing professionally as a Middle Eastern Belly Dancer, Polynesian and Fandancer, dance teacher, co-hosted the lively and informative Talk Radio show “What’s Cooking! With Amber & Chef John” for 4 ½ years, established the first scholarship for Search and Rescue Dogs in America, has appeared on film in “Truman” with Gary Sinese and was the director and founder of the Sally Rand Museum in Sally’s native Missouri.
In addition, Amber has also portrayed the Hollywood star: Ginger Rogers and the blonde bombshell: Jean Harlow in One Woman Shows. The Sally, Harlow and Ginger shows made up her “Famous Missouri Women of the 30’s” Series.
Amber is a regular feature on the local ABC Affiliate’s “Hometown This Morning” program with a culinary segment. She authored her first cookbook in 2006, has written three children’s books, tentatively slated to be out for Christmas 2008 and served her Country in the United States Air Force Reserves as an Air Passenger Specialist.
